Early Years - Level 2 Perm

The Role:

We are seeking a caring and enthusiastic Level 2 Early Years Practitioner to join our early years setting on a permanent basis. This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about working with young children and is looking to develop their skills and experience within a supportive nursery environment.

You will support the delivery of high-quality care and education in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS), helping to create a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment where children feel happy, secure, and confident to learn.

What we are looking for:

• A full and relevant Level 2 Early Years qualification

• Experience working with children aged 0–5 years (desirable but not essential)

• A genuine interest in early childhood development

• A warm, patient, and child-focused approach

• Willingness to learn and develop within the role

• Ability to follow instructions and work well as part of a team

• Good spoken and written English

• Reliable, responsible, and committed to safeguarding children

Nice-to-have:

• Progression towards or interest in achieving a Level 3 qualification

• Experience supporting a key person

• Basic understanding of safeguarding and health & safety requirements

• Paediatric First Aid (or willingness to undertake training)

• Experience using online learning journals (e.g. Tapestry)

Responsibilities:

• Support the care and supervision of children in line with EYFS standards

• Assist in planning and delivering age-appropriate activities

• Help maintain a safe, clean, and stimulating learning environment

• Support children’s personal care, routines, and wellbeing

• Observe children’s play and development and share information with senior staff

• Follow safeguarding, health and safety, and nursery policies at all times

• Work positively with colleagues to support effective teamwork
