The Role:

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Early Years Practitioner (Level 3 qualified) to join our friendly and supportive early years setting on a permanent basis. This is an excellent opportunity for a nurturing, enthusiastic professional who is committed to supporting young children’s learning, development, and wellbeing during their crucial early years.

You will play a key role in delivering high-quality early education in line with the EYFS framework, creating a safe, stimulating, and inclusive environment where every child can thrive.

What we are looking for:

  • A full and relevant Level 3 Early Years qualification (e.g. CACHE, NVQ, Diploma in Early Years Education)

  • Sound knowledge and practical understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS)

  • Experience working with children aged 0–5 years in a nursery or early years setting

  • A warm, caring, and child-centred approach

  • Ability to observe, assess, and plan children’s learning effectively

  • Strong communication skills with children, parents, and colleagues

  • A responsible, reliable professional able to work both independently and as part of a team

  • Good spoken and written English

Nice-to-have:

  • Experience as a key person

  • Knowledge of safeguarding and child protection procedures

  • Paediatric First Aid (or willingness to undertake training)

  • Experience supporting children with SEND

  • Familiarity with online learning journals (e.g. Tapestry)

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality care and education in line with the EYFS statutory framework

  • Act as a key person, building strong relationships with children and their families

  • Observe, assess, and record children’s development and progress

  • Plan and deliver engaging, age-appropriate activities that support learning and development

  • Ensure a safe, secure, and inclusive environment at all times

  • Follow safeguarding, health and safety, and nursery policies and procedures

  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to maintain outstanding practice

  • Support children’s emotional wellbeing, independence, and social development
