The Role:
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Early Years Practitioner (Level 3 qualified) to join our friendly and supportive early years setting on a permanent basis. This is an excellent opportunity for a nurturing, enthusiastic professional who is committed to supporting young children’s learning, development, and wellbeing during their crucial early years.
You will play a key role in delivering high-quality early education in line with the EYFS framework, creating a safe, stimulating, and inclusive environment where every child can thrive.
What we are looking for:
A full and relevant Level 3 Early Years qualification (e.g. CACHE, NVQ, Diploma in Early Years Education)
Sound knowledge and practical understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS)
Experience working with children aged 0–5 years in a nursery or early years setting
A warm, caring, and child-centred approach
Ability to observe, assess, and plan children’s learning effectively
Strong communication skills with children, parents, and colleagues
A responsible, reliable professional able to work both independently and as part of a team
Good spoken and written English
Nice-to-have:
Experience as a key person
Knowledge of safeguarding and child protection procedures
Paediatric First Aid (or willingness to undertake training)
Experience supporting children with SEND
Familiarity with online learning journals (e.g. Tapestry)
Responsibilities:
Deliver high-quality care and education in line with the EYFS statutory framework
Act as a key person, building strong relationships with children and their families
Observe, assess, and record children’s development and progress
Plan and deliver engaging, age-appropriate activities that support learning and development
Ensure a safe, secure, and inclusive environment at all times
Follow safeguarding, health and safety, and nursery policies and procedures
Work collaboratively with colleagues to maintain outstanding practice
Support children’s emotional wellbeing, independence, and social development
